Getting hit by a truck in Bangalore..
My car got hit by a truck. Luckily I escaped with only a minor scratch. In what followed and still unfolding I picked up a few learnings about how stuff works (in India) which I thought were worth sharing..
The traffic cop that appeared on the scene got the crowd to push my car to the side of the road to make way for the blocked traffic. And then asked me to bring my busted car to the nearest traffic police station and rode off on this bike. Tip Documents required for FIR: Copy of driving license (DL), registration certificate (RC), car insurance

Nokia Here iOS app is Infinitely better than Apple maps in India
Apple iOS6 maps are practically useless for India. The quality of the maps is pathetic. Driving directions NEVER (zero times) work. Tiles simply don’t have the right size or shape or place data. And the worse part is being stuck because there is no official way to downgrade an iOS device.
Bad times are a changing though..looks like Google maps for iOS is just around the corner and Nokia released its Here Maps the day before. Although early reviews have been less than kind to Nokia, for India considering the lack of alternatives, I think Here is a lifesaver. Download here.
